1. Check your kit and selected receiver

Check the Nano V3 model before starting. Keep the two tiny Nano receivers separate from the larger extractor magnet and extractor bar.

  • Nano V3 rechargeable neckloop with a 3.5 mm jack connection and integrated microphone.
  • Two Nano receivers, an extractor magnet and an extractor bar.
  • A USB charging cable.

The current receiver choices are Nano, Nano + Vip Pro SuperMini, Nano + Vip Pro SuperMini Beige, and Nano + Vip Pro UltraMini. A Nano + Vip Pro option adds one selected Vip Pro receiver and two 337/SR416SW cells. Those cells are only for the optional receiver. This model plays audio from the connected source; it does not use a microSD card.

2. Charge and switch on

Charge before the first use

  1. Move the side switch left to OFF.
  2. Connect the supplied charging cable to the neckloop and a computer USB port or 5 V, 1 A USB power supply.
  3. Keep the neckloop off while charging. The red light indicates charging and goes out when charging is complete.
  4. Allow approximately 1–1.5 hours, then disconnect the charging cable.

Switch on and off

Move the side switch right to ON. A blue light indicates that the neckloop is powered and has charge. Move the switch left to OFF after use.Battery life depends on volume and use. Continuous maximum volume reduces it. For long periods of storage, use and recharge the battery at least once every three months.

Charge while OFF; switch on for the separate playback and microphone tests.

3. Connect the jack and check the microphone

  1. With the charged neckloop on, place the kit on a table.
  2. Seat the 3.5 mm plug fully in the source’s headset socket. Remove a phone case if it obstructs the plug.
  3. If the phone needs a USB-C or Lightning adapter, check that the adapter supports both headset audio and microphone/call input. Playback alone does not confirm microphone compatibility.
  4. Start a known recording or song on the source. Check that audio is routed to the wired headset rather than its speaker, and that the source is not muted.
  5. For calls, make a test call or a voice recording. The integrated microphone is at the top of the Nano V3; keep it clear of clothing and tape.

Phone, adapter and app compatibility can affect calls and remote controls. If an adapter works for music but not calls, test a compatible headset adapter or another phone. A working 3.5 mm audio output is not a promise that every phone supports the microphone or buttons.

4. Buttons and volume

ATwo clicksNext recording or song.
+HoldIncrease the neckloop volume.
−HoldDecrease the neckloop volume.

The source volume and the Nano V3 volume are separate. Begin low and adjust them to the lowest audible level. Avoid continuous maximum volume on the neckloop. The A button’s functions also depend on the connected phone or playback app; if a remote action is unsupported, use the phone’s own controls.

5. Run the tabletop audio check

  1. Work in a quiet room with all small parts on a table.
  2. Identify and separate the two tiny Nano receivers if they have arrived joined together. The larger extractor magnet is a different part.
  3. Switch on the charged neckloop, connect the jack fully and play a known track.
  4. Place the two Nano receivers and extractor magnet together against the neckloop on the table.
  5. Check for faint sound or vibration outside the ear. Increase volume gradually for the tabletop test; return to a low level before use.

If there is no response, charge for at least an hour and check the ON switch, source volume, mute state and jack seating. Check that a case does not obstruct the plug. If an adapter is involved, test its headset audio and call compatibility or try another phone. A tabletop response does not establish that an in-ear position is safe.

6. Optional Vip Pro receiver

Follow this section only for a Nano + Vip Pro option. Nano receivers do not use 337 cells.

Fit the 337/SR416SW cell

  1. Unscrew the receiver cap with your fingers.
  2. Fit one 337/SR416SW cell with its positive (+), marked face upward.
  3. Refit the cap carefully, keeping it aligned and correctly closed.

Check the optional receiver on a table

With the neckloop on, the jack connected and a known track playing, place the optional receiver near the neckloop and check for sound outside the ear. A hiss alone is not proof of correct operation. For loud buzzing, remove the cell and recheck its polarity and the cap alignment. Contact support if it continues; do not pull the internal spring or probe openings with a needle. The cell drains while fitted even without audio. Remove it after use.

7. Neckloop position, removal and storage

Wear the neckloop around the neck and keep the microphone at its top clear of clothing and tape. Do not wash the powered neckloop or leave it in clothing being washed. The supplied Nano removal parts are the extractor bar and the larger extractor magnet. Do not insert them into the ear canal. Account for the receivers after use; a loss of sound does not prove that a receiver has left the ear.An optional Vip Pro receiver has a transparent retrieval thread. Hold it with your fingers only when it is already accessible, and stop if removal is not easy. Remove its cell after the receiver is out of the ear.

Do not insert cotton buds or tools into the ear canal, or push a receiver deeper. If removal is difficult, stop and get medical care. Seek urgent care for severe pain, bleeding or discharge; a battery in the ear needs immediate medical help. See Mayo Clinic: foreign objects in the ear and NHS: earwax build-up.

After use, move the side switch left to OFF. Clean the removed Nano receivers, extractor magnet and extractor bar with water or isopropyl alcohol only outside the ear. Keep liquids away from the powered neckloop. Let the removed parts dry completely before storing them. Ask support about the cleaning method for an optional Vip Pro receiver; do not probe its openings with a needle.

Fix a failed check

The neckloop does not switch on.Move the switch left to OFF and charge with the USB cable through a computer or 5 V, 1 A supply for approximately 1–1.5 hours. Check the red charging light. Disconnect the cable, then move right to ON and look for the blue light. Contact support if it still does not power on.
I hear nothing or very little.Repeat the tabletop check with a known track. Check charge, the ON position, full jack insertion, source audio routing and both volume controls. Remove a case if it obstructs the connection. Test another suitable headset adapter or phone if necessary. Wear the neckloop around the neck; do not push a receiver deeper to fix low volume.
Only one receiver seems to work.Check that the small parts are Nano receivers rather than the extractor magnet, then repeat the known-track test on the table. If using the optional Vip Pro receiver, check its 337 cell and cap separately. If one part still does not respond, ask support to check it.
The optional Vip Pro receiver buzzes loudly.Remove the cell, check that its positive (+) face is upward, and align the cap before closing it. Try a charged 337/SR416SW cell. If the buzzing remains, stop using it and contact support. Do not stretch the internal spring or insert a needle.
Music works but calls do not.A phone adapter may support playback without supporting headset microphone input or call routing. Check the phone’s call audio output, try a compatible audio-and-microphone adapter and test another phone. Music playback alone does not prove call compatibility.
The A button does not control my phone or app.Check the one-click and two-click actions above. Support for remote commands depends on the phone, adapter and app. Try the phone’s own playback or call controls and, if needed, another compatible phone or app. Do not force the button.
The microphone does not work.Keep the microphone at the top of the Nano V3 uncovered. Restart the phone, check wired-headset routing, and test with a voice recorder or a call. If playback works but microphone input does not, check the adapter’s headset/call support and try another phone.
I cannot remove the receiver.Do not insert tools or force removal. Stop and get medical care if it does not come out easily. Severe pain, bleeding or discharge needs urgent care; a battery in the ear needs immediate medical help. CooMax can identify the hardware, but technical support does not replace medical care.
The kit worked earlier and has stopped.A neckloop left on may have discharged. Switch off, recharge and repeat the tabletop check, including the jack connection and source output. The optional Vip Pro cell also drains while installed; check or replace it with the correct type.
Battery life is short.Charge with the neckloop off until the red light goes out. Avoid continuous maximum neckloop volume and keep the source and neckloop at the lowest audible levels. Use and recharge a stored battery at least once every three months.

Care and safety

Do not push a receiver deeper or put tools or cotton buds into the ear canal. If removal is difficult, stop repeated attempts and get medical help. Severe pain, bleeding or discharge needs urgent care; a battery in the ear needs immediate help.
