How an induction earpiece and neckloop work together

An induction loop earpiece system divides the job between the audio source, the bridge and the earpiece. This explains why a small earpiece sold on its own may need another part before it can play anything.
The three parts of the audio path
The source supplies the call or recording. It can be a phone or compatible audio player in a Jack or Bluetooth setup. In a GSM kit, the cellular unit handles calls through its SIM.
The bridge takes that source audio and feeds an induction element. A neckloop is one form. The Bluetooth Inductor Piece uses a compact piece, while the GSM Inductor Card combines a cellular connection with its induction system.
The earpiece receives the induction audio. Vip Pro Mini, SuperMini and UltraMini models have their own battery requirements. Their names describe earpiece models; they do not tell you which phone connection is included.
Wired and wireless refer to different links
| Kit connection | Source to bridge | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Jack | 3.5 mm wired connection | Phone socket or compatible microphone-capable adapter |
| Bluetooth | Bluetooth connection | Pairing, call audio and the selected microphone |
| GSM | Calls through a SIM in the unit | SIM service and exact model network compatibility |
The earpiece can receive audio wirelessly while the bridge still has a cable to the source. Equally, a Bluetooth bridge needs its own power even when the earpiece uses a replaceable battery.
Why the bridge position matters
The model guide shows where to use the induction element. Moving it away from the recommended position can change the sound you hear. Start with the arrangement shown in the guide when testing. Increasing the volume alone does not diagnose an incorrectly positioned bridge.
The SuperMini Jack kit includes a wired neckloop. Its neckloop needs no charging, while the SuperMini earpiece uses a 337/SR416SW battery. Bluetooth and GSM bridges have different power requirements.
Buy the parts that belong together
Check the full kit contents before ordering a standalone earpiece or bridge. For an existing setup, send our team the model names of both parts. The instructions index lets you open the guide for the connection you actually have.
Browse earpiece kits and compatible accessories once the complete audio path is clear.
For a whole-kit decision, compare Jack, Bluetooth and GSM connections alongside the listed earpiece, bridge and power components.
